Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“Student” or “User”) and iFashy Fashion Limited, a company incorporated in Nigeria (“iFashy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operating the online learning platform known as iFashy Academy(“Platform”).

By creating an account, enrolling in a course, or otherwise accessing the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. Users under 18 may only access the Platform with verifiable parental or guardian consent.

iFashy Academy is an online education platform that provides video lessons, written materials, live sessions, assessments, and community features focused on fashion design, pattern making, garment construction, and related disciplines.

Courses may be delivered as self-paced content, periodic cohort programmes, or hybrid formats. The availability, structure, and curriculum of each course are described on the relevant course page and are subject to change at our discretion, provided that enrolled students retain access to the version of the course they enrolled in for the duration stated at enrolment.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must notify us immediately through our contact page if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

One account per individual. You may not share your account credentials, resell access, or allow another person to use your account to access paid content.

Upon successful payment, you are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and consume the course content for personal educational purposes only.

Access to a self-paced course is granted for the lifetime of the course on the Platform. Access to cohort or periodic programmes is limited to the duration of the batch in which you are enrolled, as stated at the time of enrolment.

We reserve the right to retire or significantly modify a course. Where a course is retired, enrolled students will be given reasonable advance notice and offered comparable access or, at our discretion, account credit. Course fees remain non-refundable as set out in our Refund Policy.

All prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) unless otherwise stated. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes where required by Nigerian law. We accept payment via the third-party payment gateways integrated into the Platform.

Payments are processed securely by our payment partners. iFashy does not store your card details. By completing a payment, you authorise iFashy to charge the stated amount for the selected course or subscription.

Where you purchase through our mobile apps, the transaction may instead be processed and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, in which case the relevant store’s payment terms also apply (see “Mobile Applications and App Store Terms” below). All sales are final; please review our Refund Policy before purchasing.

We may offer discounts, coupons, or promotional pricing at our sole discretion. Promotional prices are only valid for the period specified and cannot be applied retrospectively.

Refunds are governed exclusively by our Refund Policy.

We may make iFashy Academy available as a mobile application through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of an app obtained from a store (an “App Store”) is also subject to that store’s terms. For Apple App Store downloads, these Terms incorporate Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA); where these Terms are more restrictive, Apple’s standard EULA governs to the extent required. The following also applies to apps downloaded from the Apple App Store and forms part of these Terms:

• These Terms are concluded between you and iFashy only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the application or its content.
• The licence granted to use the app is a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple’s standard EULA.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app. Any support queries should be directed to iFashy through our contact page.
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied. To the extent any warranty is not effectively disclaimed, iFashy is solely responsible.
• iFashy, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, consumer-protection claims, and claims that the app infringes a third party’s intellectual-property rights.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist-supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.

In-app purchases are processed by the relevant App Store, not by iFashy, and are subject to that store’s billing and refund policies. App Store subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple or Google account settings. See our Refund Policy for how in-app purchase refunds are handled.

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to video lessons, written materials, design templates, assessments, graphics, logos, and the Platform interface — is owned by or licensed to iFashy Fashion Limited and is protected under Nigerian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, transmit, publicly display, resell, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our prior written consent. Downloading course videos or materials for offline use is only permitted where an explicit download feature is provided by the Platform.

Where you submit content to the Platform (e.g. discussion posts, project submissions, reviews), you grant iFashy a royalty-free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to display, reproduce, and use that content for the purposes of operating and promoting the Platform.

• Using the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Nigerian law.
• Sharing your account credentials or course access with third parties.
• Recording, capturing, or redistributing course videos or materials.
• Posting offensive, defamatory, discriminatory, or misleading content.
• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems.
• Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or extract Platform content.
• Engaging in any conduct that disrupts or burdens the Platform infrastructure.
• Impersonating iFashy, its staff, instructors, or other users.

Upon successful completion of a course and any associated assessments, a certificate of completion may be issued in your name. Certificates are for personal recognition only and do not confer any professional qualification, accreditation, or academic credential recognised by any regulatory body unless expressly stated.

Certificates may be revoked if it is discovered that they were obtained through academic dishonesty or any breach of these Terms.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Nigerian law, iFashy Fashion Limited, its directors, employees, instructors, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, including loss of profit, data, or business opportunity.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to iFashy in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, where such limitation is prohibited by law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you breach any provision of these Terms. Where termination is for cause, no refund will be issued.

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings on the Platform (or by contacting us). Account deletion is permanent, revokes your access to enrolled courses, and does not entitle you to a refund of any fees paid.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act (FCCPA) 2018, the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act 2015, and any other applicable Nigerian legislation.

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation within thirty (30) days. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to mediation or, failing that, to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Lagos State, Nigeria.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform at least fourteen (14) days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
