Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need any prior experience to get started?
Yes and No — some of our courses start from the fundamentals and are built for complete beginners. If a course expects prior skills or is part of a series, that will be called out on the course page before you enroll.
What equipment or software do I need?
A laptop, phone or tablet with a stable internet connection is enough to watch lessons and download materials. Pattern-drafting courses typically use everyday tools — paper, ruler, pencil, and basic sewing supplies — while a few courses may reference specific software. Check the syllabus on each course page for anything course-specific before you buy.
How long do I have access to a course after I enroll?
It depends on the course format. Self-paced courses are meant to be revisited whenever suits you, and cohort (batch) courses run on a scheduled timeline tied to your live group. We're still finalizing the exact access terms for each format — see the course page at checkout for what applies to that specific course.
Is the certificate recognized or accredited?
You'll receive a shareable certificate of completion once you finish all modules and assessments in a course — it's meant to showcase the skills you've learned on your portfolio, resume, or LinkedIn profile. It is not an accredited qualification and is not issued or endorsed by any external accrediting body yet.
Can I get a refund if a course isn't right for me?
Refund eligibility depends on the terms in place at the time you enrolled. Please read the full policy before purchasing a course.
Read the refund policyWhat's the difference between self-paced and cohort courses?
Self-paced courses let you move through lessons on your own schedule, with no fixed start or end date. Cohort courses run as a live batch alongside an instructor and a group of peers, on a set schedule with real-time interaction. See the comparison above for what fits you best.
